New Brunswick, NJ (PRWeb) November 18, 2006 -- The Rutgers winning streak excites the state and new entrepreneurs. Tamara Remedios has been an avid Rutgers football fan for 13 years, since she enrolled at Rutgers in 1993. She has seen some hard times and has had to fight for her team wearing red. But all that has changed -- with a winning team she has had to update her Rutgers wardrobe, and was dismayed by the lack of feminine sports apparel, and started R Gear (www.cafepress.com/rugear) in a matter of 24 hours.
After her last shopping trip on campus on November 16, Tamara enjoyed the rainy evening, creating designs she could proudly wear. Using the service provided by CafePress.com (an online apparel site), she added her designs to female apparel like baby tees, fitted shirts and even children's apparel. This is clothing she will wear to the remaining games (including the pending Bowl game).
Stores like Scarlet Fever on Rutgers' campus in New Brunswick have seen a surge in sales, so much that their online stores have closed. In just a matter of 24 hours, "R Gear" was created, and is now open to the public online at www.cafepress.com/rugear. Tamara hopes to help faraway alumni wear their RU pride -- especially women.
